I get asked about my collaboration tech stack all the time. This week, let’s talk about my tech stack when I am a contributor (not the host).
I’ve gone through many iterations. Sometimes, because I got priced out of the platform (I once had a platform increase their prices by 40% and cut back access to features), sometimes because I outgrew the platform, sometimes because I learned about something better or something new from someone in the District Bliss Community.
Today, I’m sharing my tech stack as a contributor (aka when I’m not the one hosting the collaboration).
Next week, I’ll share my tech stack as the host.
There’s no wrong way to build your tech stack. The important thing is that you can use it – and that you’re willing to use it.
Airtable: Data Collection and Project Management.
We use Airtable to ensure everything is in one place as we stay organized and on track.
My team built a Collaboration Tracking Database (you can download your own for just $97 here). This database keeps us up to date on all our collaborative projects, ensuring we never miss a deadline or due date. It has everything we need in one place – promo dates, swipe copy, speaker home bases, our contributions, etc.
Flodesk: Email Capture and Nurture Sequence.
Flodesk is my favorite email marketing provider. It’s easy to set up my promo emails, segment my audience (I always segment out anyone who has already claimed my contribution; they’ve already signed up, so they don’t need another marketing email from me. And, I don’t want to interrupt my welcome sequence), and track my metrics.
Plus, it looks great, and it’s fun to use! I always say that whichever email marketing platform gets you to email your list is the right platform for you.
We use Flodesk workflows to deliver our contribution directly to the inbox of anyone who opts in. That workflow is set up to nurture our new audience by delivering a few small, related gifts and reminding them to actually use the contribution (because how many times have you signed up for something and then completely forgotten about it? Same).
Get Flodesk and save 25% on your first year.
Canva: Presentations.
If I’m speaking at a summit, I use Canva to build my presentations. I’ve created a presentation template so I can just duplicate that and update the content. Easy peasy!
ThriveCart: Contribution Delivery and Upsell.
We build our checkout pages in ThriveCart. On that checkout page, we often include an optional bump. You can also set up a tripwire, but I typically don’t because they have to input their credit card. I find that I am hesitant to claim anything free when I have to input a credit card, so there may be a barrier to getting signups.
ThriveCart is currently the least expensive option out there, but it’s also a little more difficult to use than something like Kajabi.
Bonus: ThriveCart integrates with Flodesk, which is super handy. Once someone inputs their information into ThriveCart, my onboarding sequence is immediately started in Flodesk.
ScreenPal: Video Hosting.
If my contribution is video-based, I’ll use ScreenPal to host any videos and embed them into ThriveCart.
It’s not flashy, but it’s reasonably priced, you can add captions, and it works well.
Pro tip: I often reuse my summit recordings as courses, which I then use as my contributions to things like bundles, cross-promotion, and even my summit freebies! If you want to hear more about that, let me know, and I’ll write a blog post about it!
That’s my tech stack when I am contributing (not hosting) a collaboration. I’ll be back next week with my host tech stack.
P.S. If this type of content is interesting to you, join us at the Collaborations that Monetize Summit, happening July 20-22, 2026. This hybrid live and pre-recorded event is designed to grow your audience through a people-first path. You definitely don’t want to miss the live events – that’s where you can connect with your future partners. You’ll leave the summit with a strategy in place AND the people you need in order to execute.
