Tara Leigh Events specializes in event planning and custom design to fit every client’s unique vision, focusing on bringing their client’s ideas to life in a unique style. They’ve been in the business for 2 years now and we’re so excited to have Tara planning our LA Vendor Social at The York Manor! My company will be going on its 2 year anniversary next month.
I decided to start my company after being in the industry for over 13 years, and I knew one day I wanted to have my own company and be my own boss. After so much great support from my family and friends and clients I decided that I would venture off and start my event planning and design company and go full force with it. It’s been the best decision I have ever made!
So many things are my favorite part of what I do but the best part is that I can use my creative side and make my visions come to life. It’s such an amazing feeling when your ideas on paper come to life in reality and you know that every event will just get a little bit better and more unique each time. One aspect that I particularly enjoy is discovering the perfect venue for an event, particularly weddings. It gives you that boost you need to really set the wheels in motion and create one of the most memorable experiences in a person’s life. For example finding something like the AQWA Weddings venue, and its gorgeous harbour views, helps you envision exactly how the whole day is going to go.
My favorite part of what I do is getting to know my clients and bringing their vision to life with the event of their dreams. Nothing is better that putting a smile of my clients face knowing we nailed their event and we always go that extra mile to make their event that much more memorable. I also would’t be here with out the amazing team I have and it’s also my favorite part of what I do is to see my team grow together.
When I had my first wedding on Catalina Island is when I first started my company, this is when I saw how challenging it is to work at a destination location, I grew up so much in the process on a creative and business level. Since then I am now a preferred vendor and continue to do many events on the Island as well as all over California. I knew that if we were successful with this event we would continue to do great success in all that we do. There are many ups and downs, but I am grateful to have wonderful clients, supportive family and friends and the best team with me through the building of my brand. I continue to be thankful that I was given this passion and creative skill so that I can continue to make people happy through the process of creating the event of their dreams.
