Meet Park Slope Press!
Four years ago, this artsy Brooklyn non-traditional paper shop opened its doors in Park Slope. This rad team of creatives specializes in letterpress, but thrives on all things artistic – especially challenges.
How did you come up with the name of your business?
Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about your business?
Park Slope Press is a one stop studio. We offer in-house design and printmaking. We love a challenge, if you have a quirky design or weird material to print on, march down to our studio. We don’t shy away from experiments and are always up to break with tradition.
Is there anything you’d like our readers to know about you (and your team, if applicable) personally?
We are “art kids” first and foremost. We try to shake up the traditional idea of what a invitations and formal stationery should look like. We’re not your grandma’s stationery shop.
What is your favorite part about what you do?
That’s tricky… I love collaborating with a client about their vision for the final paper product. My background is in design, so I get excited just looking through the paper samples and pantone swatch book. Planning is very fun for me. That being said, there is nothing quite as satisfying as taking fresh prints off the press. For us, design on a computer screen can’t replace a design printed, and placed in your hands.
