It’s unofficially the end of summer, which no one wants to hear, but that means all the perks of fall are coming (Hello PSL?)!

Labor Day is dedicated to honoring the American labor movement and contribution that all workers have made to the U.S.’s prosperity and growth. Not to mention, it’s also A DAY OFF! Head down to the beach for one last hurrah or just take the time to sleep in! Sit back, relax, have a drink, and enjoy the break before heading back to a busy week of work!?

Unfortunately, today is no day off for the residents of southeast Texas who were devastatingly hit by Harvey this past week. Many are facing the reality of having lost their homes and belongings to record amounts of flooding. In addition, others have tragically lost their pets and/or their loved ones as well. Sadly, over 44 people in the U.S lost their lives. (Source: Fox 8 Cleveland). We’re sending all our love and strength all who have been affected ??

We’re in pure admiration of those who have been working non-stop to help rescue both animals and people alike caught in the flooding and those who have helped provide food, water, and shelter to evacuees. Citizens from all over the country are coming together to raise and donate money to aid the relief efforts, from rebuilding homes with help from local firms like Ace Roofing Company, to restoring power and providing food and shelter for those affected bybthe worst of the storms. It’s the strange duality of these disasters where people’s generousity helps display the true beauty of humanity. All of District Bliss’ heart and support is with Texas and all those who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.

We hope everyone is still able to keep their spirits up and has had a great long weekend and alwats remember to throw kindness around like confetti!
