When did you decide you wanted to open your own company?

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but this past fall I decided that it was time to take my brand into my own hands and continue what has already been a wonderful career as a wedding DJ.

How did you come up with the name of your business?

Bela Sono is simply the translation of “beautiful sounds,” which is exactly what we provide. I thought long and hard about the name of my company. Many DJs simply use their name or some variation of that, which I understand but wanted to avoid. I wanted something unique, but something that really represented what we do and stand for. Bela Sono was truly the perfect fit for a name.

How long have you been in business?

I have more than 10 years of experience helping couples celebrate their weddings, but Bela Sono Music is a new company as of the Fall of 2015.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about your business?

We are purely a wedding DJ company. That may sound simple, but it means a lot to us. We aren’t a company that you’ll find doing Sweet 16s, or Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, or other types of events, because those aren’t what we’re best at. A wedding is unlike any other event that a DJ can perform at. If you have a bad DJ at a corporate holiday party, people laugh about it and try to get someone different next year. A bad DJ at wedding can have lasting consequences on one of the most memorable days of a couples’ lives. We do everything we can to make sure that the weddings we perform at are memorable for all the right reasons, and that our couples share an incredible celebration with their family and friends.

Any info on your team you’d like to share?

Team is the right word, but you should know that we are a very small group at the highest standards possible. The only two principal DJs that you’d get through Bela Sono are myself, Ross, or Ryan. We have known each other and DJ’ed together for years, and we both have the same deep commitment to quality and REALLY fun weddings.
