How did you decide you wanted to start your own vegan cosmetics line?

I was looking for vegan glosses at Whole Foods and other Green stores. I noticed they existed but the color selection was not great. After doing some research I discovered that not one of the makeup brands offered in organic markets had been created by a makeup artist. I saw a need for an experienced artist eye in palate selection — and decided why not my eye?!

Why is the “vegan” aspect important?

The average women consumes 25 lbs of lipstick or mouth products over the course of her lifetime!! That stat grossed me out! If there is one product to start “going green” with its your everyday lip gloss!

Tell us all about the lipstick bar!

I’ll be color matching based on complexion and style. If you’re a nude lip lover I’ll have the right undertone for you’re skin tone. If you are looking for a statement lip I will help you find one that compliments you’re personality and undertone! Everyone is welcome to try out our testers and have fun experimenting with the line. We will have our products available for purchase. I’m offering our lip glosses and lipsticks at a discounted rate of $20 for the event.

Do you offer products other than lipsticks and glosses? If so, will you be bringing/selling them?

Yes, I also offer makeup brushes. I will have them with me for sale. I only carry two at the moment. My signature ‘Ariel Lewis’ foundation brush and my corse tipped eye brown brush. Happy to demo them if anyone request!

Are there any other details you’d like to share?

All of my lip products are named after influential women in my life. Ask me the “story” behind the colors you choose and you will get some pretty amazing insight into my life. I’ve been on the search for a new color…

Pitch me your color idea and share your story with me  at the lipstick bar — you might wind up with a Lipstick named after you.
