Meet Acute Inflections!

The talent of Acute Inflections came together to form this incredible band in 2014 – and, boy, are we glad they did! Not only do they have this amazing chemistry and beautiful sound, but they are also simply stunning! The first time we saw Elasea Douglas, we did a double-take and said simultaneously, “Was that Jessica Rabbit!?” (It didn’t hurt that she was also wearing a gorgeous red gown at the time, either! And, Elasea has the closet a girl dreams of – no joke, see for yourself!)

How did you come up with the name of your business?

We came up with it while driving back from a gig where the attendees kept asking us the name of our duo and we couldn’t think of anything. We wanted to come up with something that encompassed the mystery, simplicity and complexity of our music and Acute Inflections was the perfect fit.

What is your favorite part about what you do?

We love coming up with romantic versions of our couples’ favorite love songs and performing them during the bride’s walk and the first dance.

Do you have a favorite/memorable story related to your business?

As a matter of fact, we do! 🙂 We recently performed for a wedding at a popular venue in Manhattan and we were flattered when one of the event managers gave us this compliment. She said that while she works hundreds of weddings each year, she was really touched by our performance of Can’t Help Falling In Love during the ceremony was on the verge of tears. We usually receive similar compliments from our couples and their guests but it was even more special to hear it from someone who has worked countless weddings.
